People Don't Buy Authenticity and Process

"AI can't replace authenticity and process."

If we learn anything about the tech landscape in the last 10 years (think Uber, Airbnb, Spotify), is that people will almost always choose an average-quality, cheaper, faster copy than a high-quality, authentic, passionately-created service & product.

But now, think about these scenarios:

Cameras have been attached to phones for decades.
Their quality keeps getting better and better.
Would you hire anybody with a phone to shoot your wedding?

You're going to take a 10-hour flight.
The plane will be fully controlled by a program written entirely with AI.
Would you still go if there's no human pilot onboard?

Sure, the masses love convenience with a low price tag.
But they will not trade it for safety, certainty, and responsibility.

We don't always work with another human for authenticity & process.
But we always work with another human for accountability & precision.

The truth is that AI is nice until it faces stakes.

The risk of having disappointing results.
The risk of getting harmed.
The risk of losing money.
The risk of death.

You need to be able to say confidently that you're able to do your thing, you know why you did your thing, and you'll be responsible when your thing isn't up to the expectation.

Practice your thing and let as many people as possible know that you practice your thing in an absolutely precise manner.

We don't know anything about the future.

But 4 years after AI image generator went public, we still see people drawing, painting, designing, and just passionately creating bangers in our Instagram feed.

We'll figure this out.

Good luck 🌟
