4 Things You Might Get Wrong about Branding & Marketing
It took me 4 years to unlearn these misconceptions.
Most people focus on the wrong things:
Brand Identity:
❌ Don't focus on making up an identity
✔️ Focus on brand → build trust & reputation
💡 Trust makes people buy, identity gets you remembered
Unique Selling Point:
❌ Don't focus on trying so hard to be special
✔️ Focus on selling points → find reasons why people want to buy
💡 If people buy and feel satisfied, you're already unique to them
Content Marketing:
❌ Don't focus on marketing your business
✔️ Focus on content → sharing insightful & interesting things
💡 Get people interested first, offer your business second
Social Media:
❌ Don't focus on being a mass media
✔️ Focus on social → share & engage genuinely like real people
💡 When you engage more, people will listen to you more
Of course it's not a black and white situation.
The key is always balance.
For example:
→ A brand without an identity will be hard to remember
→ Content without marketing will get you likes but not leads
Pay attention and build both aspects to make the best of your business.
